The NPA wants our members to be further recognised for the knowledge, high-quality service, and professionalism that we know they have and put into practice. Consequently, we have created specialist online learning materials for you and your staff.
How will you prove to the FCA that your staff are competent?
With ever increasing focus on proof of compliance it is important to be able to evidence your staff competency and training and that’s why we have developed this qualification for the profession.
The qualification consists of 5 modules which can be taken separately. You will study the content online, sit the exam and upon passing you will be able to download a paper showing you have passed. If you pass all 5 you will qualify for the ‘NPA Certificate in Pawnbroking Excellence’
NPA Certificate In Pawnbroking Excellence:
All study materials are available online and study can be undertaken at any time ,such as breaks or weekends, and in any order. You can start, stop and carry on from where you left off at any time. And when you are ready you can choose to sit an online exam of 30 randomised questions from our large data bank. The exams are multiple choice questions against the clock.
How will your managers, key staff and approved persons show they are up to date?
You can keep your managers up to date through our short online courses where you learn the material on slides and sit a quick 5 minute test to prove understanding of the topic.

A company could choose to have access to view the materials without sitting exams for just £41 a year.
Students for the Qualification pay £41 for one year’s access pass. You can study and sit as many exams as you wish and retake and re-study as required for the whole of that year. You do not need to make any further payment in future years in order to keep your qualification once passed. If you take longer than a year you would just have to renew your access pass to carry on studying.
Ongoing short courses are recommended for senior managers and key staff . For the £41 annual pass you could access and sit the short courses relevant to your job role. New courses will be continually added as relevant over time and existing courses will be updated.
The benefits are;
Each access pass is made out to the individual who registers, so only that person can sit exams or tests, as the result will be recorded against their record. This will prove to the authorities such as FCA, Trading Standards and others that your staff are trained, up to date and professional. Importantly this will give your customers confidence and comfort.
